As one of the most visited top-level landing pages on the site, the homepage needed to instantly convey what the website is about - DIY hair dyeing, unnatural hair colours - with the aim of driving customers to the shop.␋I photographed the tint brushes, a hair dye tube and coloured hair and created this composite image. Since it was part of a responsive design and I opted for a blurred scrim to ensure the text would be clear and legible whatever the viewport size.

While many of the hair colouring how-to articles ranked amongst HairCrazy's top landing pages some articles were less visited. The hero image created for this section of the site was intended to raise awareness of the library of articles available.
It was challenging to come up with an image that could represent hair colouring tutorials. I drew inspiration from the website's community where some people planned their hair colours in advance making notes on dyes and colour combinations.

As one of the most critical top-level pages on the website, it was important to create a hero image with impact. ␋I used dripping hair colour in an array of colours to create an image that would appeal to hair dye enthusiasts. The image was created by dribbling hair dye on an acetate sheet and backlighting it.
